Cam-A-Lot History

The Cam-A-Lot Round Dance Club took flight in 1990. The founders were Finn & Birthe Hoelfer plus Lynn & myself. Finn & Birthe already had a round dance club "The Conejo Rounds". The Camarillo CA Parks & Recreation Dept wanted to sponsor a dance club, but  "The Conejo Rounds" was not an acceptable name.

The four of us were enjoying dinner and watching the tournaments at "Medieval Times" in Buena Park CA when Lynn suggested "Camelot" as the name for our new round dance club.

We all agreed to change the "e" in Camelot to an "A" to represent CamArillo. The vote was unanimous and the Cam-A-Lot Round Dance club was born.

The Cam-A-Lot Round Dance Club is celebrating its

  22nd Anniversary

 THIS SUNDAY Feb 26th at the 4th Sunday Round Dance Party.
